AGM followed by talk:

'Threads of Connection'

The AGM is followed by a talk from Holly Sandiford, Director and Facilitator at ArtatWork CIC, who will tell us about an inspiring three-year initiative aimed at improving wellbeing through the exploration of Norwich’s rich textile and fashion heritage. Focusing on three key periods—1600 to 1750, 1750 to 1900, and 1900 to the present day—this project engages participants in a creative journey that intertwines history, art, and mental wellbeing.
Participants include men and women with mental health challenges or just need a boost to their wellbeing, and adults with learning disabilities. Through practical workshops, such as spinning, weaving, natural dyeing, and museum visits, participants will gain both heritage knowledge and creative skills. A variety of engaging activities, like guided walks, talks, and heritage research methods, will further enhance their connection to local history.
