Pamela was a passionate champion of textile conservation who founded the Costume and Textile Association. She worked at Stranger’s Hall Museum in the late 1960s and early 70s when most of the Museum’s Costume Collection was situated there. She had moved it piece by piece from the Castle. She began the conservation of Textiles at Stranger’s Hall before setting up the National Trust Conservation Studio at Blickling.
We will celebrate Pamela’s love of costume stories by having displays and costumes worn by our own models illustrating the decades of Pamela’s life. Helen Hoyte will share her interesting and fun memories of Pamela.
Come, join us, and see some of the new additions to the C&TA resource collection.
Have the chance to chat with like minded lovers of costume and textiles as well as enjoying tea and cake!
This event is free to members, but it is advisable to book through Barbara Coe on 01603 745766 or ctacostume.meets@gmail.com
